Cantaritos Mexican Bar & Grill: Your Go-To Destination for Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Royal Oak

This is definitely an upscale Mexican restaurant. The staff were awesome, and the drinks were spot on. Honestly, we shared everything to keep it on the cheap. But you can do that because the portions are big enough. My only suggestion is either more tortillas or larger tortillas because there are plenty of goodies to fill them. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Great place to watch games and have delicious food! We were craving for some nachos and Cantaritos had a few items on the menu. We went with half chicken half beef plate. It comes with guacamole and the plate is quite big. We also ordered 3 shrimp tacos with pickled cabbage and those were pretty good too! Place itself is spacious with lots of seats. It wasn’t too crowded on a Sunny afternoon. We enjoyed seating by the window with a view on main street. And service was very hospitable, friendly, nice and quick! From the hostess that welcomed us warmly to the waiters and servers! Overall good experience and 5 stars well deserved!

What an excellent first impression for a great Mexican restaurant! It was really cold out, and it was a holiday (Inauguration day), so the place wasn't too busy so it gave us a chance to really look around and enjoy the decor and atmosphere. Our waiter was really nice and helpful, and the service was great. We started with an Oaxaca Old Fashioned and Cantarito and enjoyed some chips and salsa (both were great). We then ordered Taco Mexicanos and Fajita for lunch, and the tacos were so flavorful and delicious. There were a couple of dipping sauces provided, and those were also fantastic. Even the beans and rice were top-tier fare as I've never tasted beans quite like these. I couldn't have been more pleased. My wife said her fajita was fantastic and loved everything as well. We're very excited to stop by again soon

Visiting from out of town and staying at the Hyatt just down the street so we walked down for dinner and so happy we did! Margaritas were delicious! Loved the steak fajitas and a taco trio with steak, chicken and shrimp. Everything was great! Definitely would come back!

We enjoyed a great meal at Cantaritos on a Wednesday night! From the moment we walked in, we were seated immediately, and the service was prompt with water brought to the table right away. While I skipped the Margaritas this time, the table next to us raved about how much they enjoyed theirs, so it’s definitely something to try next visit. The menu had an impressive variety of options, making it tough to choose! As this was my second time dining here, I decided to go with the Fajita Bowl with Chicken—it did not disappoint. The chicken was tender, the vegetables fresh, and the flavor was spot on. Others in our party ordered the Michigan Burrito with Chorizo and different varieties of enchiladas, and everyone loved their choices. The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, and the quality of food was consistent with my first visit. We’ll definitely be back to enjoy another meal at Cantaritos Mexican Bar & Grill soon!

Spectacular little spot we found ! Fantastic food while we watched the lions game ! We all had the best food and service ! Our waitress was on top of everything and super nice ! Definitely will be back !

I find myself back here again and again! The food is incredible and fun and the atmosphere is comfortable and chic. The staff is always friendly but could do check backs after dropping off the food a little bit more. I definitely am becoming a regular

Amazing place to eat, drink and dance. Place is amazing to have fun. The food is very good as well. Who ever say anything less doesn't know anything. Staff is amazing but Luis pushed it over board at the bar, was perfect with his service. For that reason we are coming back.
